OUR HISTORY

Mapal’s history begins in 1992 when Mapal in France was created. At the beginning, Mapal drew upon a few subcontractors in France. In 1997 the actual CEO of the company in Poland began cooperating with French company and became its official representative on Polish market. Fast developing retail market combined with increasing sales activity led to the creation of Mapal in Poland in 1998.

The Polish company started with only 2 people – a secretary and a technician. Its activity was focused only on sales of stainless steel equipment imported from France to supermarkets and hypermarkets. Thanks to the Polagra Fair the company has found new clients and developed its activity in the field of food industry and HoReCa sector. In order to become more independent the company decided to start cooperating with Polish subcontractors.

In 2000, the development of Mapal in Poland became very dynamic. The production capacities of subcontractors where inefficient and their machine park was not able to ensure the requested quality level. It was decided to buy first stainless steel treatment machines and to employ production workers. At the same time the office of the company was transferred to Tower Building business center at Lakowa street.

Due to its good reputation, in 2001, Mapal won 2 important orders for the equipment for 2 newly built hotels. The success of those 2 projects contributed to the development of activity in HoReCa sector.

At the same time, Mapal had started to cooperate with big and well known companies manufacturing the equipment for HoReCa sector such as Angelo Po, Conti, Sirman. Thanks to this long term cooperation the company has gained the experience and excellent knowledge about products offered by its partners.

Our sustained development and a constant need to explore new markets have contributed to the creation of Mapal branch in Russia (Mapal Vostok) in 2005.
